Pretty Poison

Poison Ivy is the first female villain (other than Talia Al Ghul in some way).  The beginnigng of this episode starts off with a flashback. Apparently, Harvey Dent and Bruce are building this new property to make Gotham a better and safer place. The scene goes over to this lady who saves this plant and walks away.

Then it flashes forward to where the project is complete, a prisoner is escaping from prison but Batman stops him. Meanwhile, Harvey dent is having dinner with Pamela Isley. He’s telling Pamela about his actually close friend Bruce Wayne. Meanwhile, it alternates to Bruce capturing the runaway.

Finally, Bruce comes to the resturant and the trio start to chat up with each other. It’s pretty evident that Harvey is captured by Isley. Pamela says she has to guy, but leaves Harvey with a kiss that knocks him out. It lasted about ten seconds then she left. Afterwards, Bruce says

Nothing To Fear

The Scarecrow is the star of this episode. First, the setting takes place in Gotham University. It recently is going under because of the recent robberies. Dr. Long who is talking to Nina get on an elevator, which Wayne tags along too. Things don’t go too well, and Dr.Long said that  his (Bruce) father is lucky he didn’t see what happened to his good name, because he’d die of shame.

So he just rained on Batman’s parade.

Anyway things cut off to the Scarecrow busting into a bank ( which might be located at the University) and we see him use his Fear Gas.

You see your worst fear. The security guard's is spiders.

Batman busts in with a gas mask prepared. But the Scarecrow is too. He shoots him with a dart loaded with Fear Gas, and Batman starts feeling the effect. He’s strong enough to escape the burning place. Unfortunately, we see his worst fear: Failing his father. He is still disheveled about this, since we see him later unshaven.

We see a flashback of the Scarecrow and why he wants to take down the University It turns out he was a professor there, and was immensely fascinated with fear. He did an experiment on students, and the university took him off (Dr.Long was there).

Flash-forward, there’s a banquet happening and the Scarecrow decides to show up there. He puts Fear Gas through the air ducts and takes the fundraising money.

Batman comes there to stop the madness, but everyone is high on the gas. They start attacking him, while the Scarecrow and his men go off into a blimp. Batman is hanging on a ledge, this happens:

He overcomes it!

He finds Scarecrow who’s running away and figures out what his worst fear is.

Bats. Ironically

Anyway, he turns him into the police and the episode wraps up.

The Last Laugh

So, basically this episode is a filler. Basically THE JOKER has infected Gotham with his laughing gas. At first, people think it’ll pass, but it doesn’t. The Batman takes notices when Alfred gets infected and he takes care of the problem. To me it’s not really an outstanding episode.

On Leather Wings & Christmas With The Joker

On Leather Wings

The season opens up with a police blimp surveying Gotham for any criminal activities. There was a slight scare that there was a figure that looked like a bat.

Batman gets word of this and thinks someone is trying to set him up. Mean while the Gotham police department is on his tail. Specifically, Detecive Harvey Bullock. Batman checks out the place where the mysterious “Man-Bat” was. He picks up some eveidence and switches into his alter ego Bruce Wayne, and asks a couple of scientist if they can tell him what it’s about.

They lied to Batman and he goes back there to figure it out. Before he gets there we see Dr. Kirk Langstorm taking some mixtures of chemical. Here’s a gif:

After this we see a wild chase of Batman swinging from a thread from the Man-Bat’s ankle. Successfully, Batman sustains the creature and restores Dr. Langstorm back to normal. The episode ends with Batman going back to the Dr. Kirk’s wife giving her back her a human husband.

Christmas With The Joker

The second episode starts with the infamous version of the Joker’s  Jingle Bells. ( You could watch that here: x )  Joker escapes from prison and Batman is edgy that this Christmas won’t be easy. Robin -who is present in this episode- thinks Batman just needs to relax. However the Dark Knight insist that they go on a crime watch.  They do and everything seems to be going jolly, so they head back home and decide to watch a Christmas movie.

Joker hijacked all the TV stations and he’s hosting is own Christmas special. He kidnapped 3 people. Two of them who belong in Gotham Police Department and another one a lady. Just like Batman predicted, there would be no rest that night.

GCPD

The Joker brings good tidings and gifts for Batman. Which are

1. A train that’s going to fall off a missing bridge

Her mom is on that train and that's the Joker's hand

Her mom is on that train and that’s the Joker’s hand

2. A giant dome that would shoot down Gotham

3. Giant toys filled with heavy artillery with henchmen

4. The 3 hostages about to fall in hot pit of lava

The last gift  Joker had a pair of scissors in his hand and a personal gift for Batman. Robin told Batman not to do it, but he told him to relax and he opened it. He was plastered with a pie on his face and it sent the Joker into a hysterical fit.

The Joker cut the rope and Batman saved the hostages just in time. As the villain was fleeing away he slipped on a skate, and started falling towards the pit of molten lava. Inches away Batman grabbed him by the ankle and saved him.

Personal thoughts:

I thought the graphics were pretty good. I liked the second episode better than the first since it had the Joker in it and he sang his version of Jingle Bells. Also even though it’s just the first two episodes I see great potential in this season.
